omg i thought i was the only one who saw the rain of stupidity falling from the sky everyday anyway i agree with everything you have said angitosfang people really need to wake up and pull there head out of that hole its stuck in
a little bit of both
As well as being self centered, I do think we show off to much. The whole thing with Haiti was overrated. What makes Haiti so damn important that they get their own sing-a-long. Haiti appears as much as helping the poor. With the media on the other-hand, it isn't really because of ignorance that we don't see many things. It just doesn't reach the public because of higher power. There are actually people who try. And another thing to prove it is the fact people realize that there are things we don't know about this war. So that proves there are many people who aren't ignorant in the U.S. And being self centered as much, probably because you don't really see a lot of what's going on in other countries. It's like the whole world gets to know about us and we don't get to know about them. It's a bit sad. But I don't think we'd be the only country to either be self centered or ignorant. I'd think that there are other countries that may be the same, but unlike America, you wouldn't hear news about it. Also as well as I didn't like Bush, I sure do dislike Obama. I just don't trust him or see him doing much for this country, as for a Healthcare bill, electing other races into office, and meeting celebrities. Why do I have to hear about him playing basketball and his wife coming off from vacation? And with those celebrities as Agito said they may be able to do what they please but it doesn't make their lives any better than ours. Guess who gets bashed on the media? Not us! They'll be living in their little dream world, take a few wrong pills and die is all I know. Because the many who do this have bad experiences, but they choose to be incompetent and continue running around. It did take me a while to realize many things, I used to be one of the kids who hated America. xD But America [or your own country] is like your child almost. It does so many stupid things but you still love it, you have to love it. It's where you are born and raised. And you know what you do? You raise that child after it has raised you [I make no sense goddamn philosophy]. You make sure it grows up to be better. Right now America probably hasn't grown up yet. So as that person who grew from that seed, you have to do your best to shape this country like a ball of clay.
they just think that they are the most powerfull country, that their language is universal, so they don't even try to be curious about what's happen outside.. (not all american but most of) and also, it's the goverment fault, plus they become dumbass, and less they can understand what's happen around them.. so, in that way... they could vote for Bush... twice... thanks God not all americans are like that, but unfortunatly they are a minority..
Agito's rant #2 (if you want to see #1 http://www.habuhabu.com/habu/148-do-you-support-online-scantlating-o-yes-x-no) and please excuse my rage grammar Is it me or is America not only self centered but ignorant seriously im American and i even admit it the general population is dumber than a sack of bricks and knows nothing about the outside world. the only history class i could take in school is US history which has been shoved down my throat sense i started kindergarten(no lie) i try to watch cnn and the global new and still its America this America that and Iraq cover up stories you see the government donating to charities around the world and various relief efforts but when it comes to the general population all they know is shotguns American pie mountain dew Ronald Raegon and country music. it seems that when we don't follow those trends we are treated as weird or an outcast seriously its like Americans don't even try i was taking the ACT and i see people making 13 and 12...wtf do people even pay attention in school anymore? i walked up to a guy on the streets i had a global map in my hand and i asked him to point at England and he couldn't do it but he wasn't the only one i walked to a nearby library and asked a guy to point at Iraq surprisingly he got it wrong but it doesn't stop here i took the bus down to a community center were a lot of people gather and asked a guy to point out the state of Washington...A US STATE and he got it wrong....wtf..are people just stupid or do they know nothing outside of their own "the sun revolves around me bubble" but aside from Americans not knowing their geography(so glad im a geography buff) it seems that we watch and listen to the same rehashed crap seriously listen to rap pop rock country it's all starting to sound generic lately and when you listen to an underground group people want to say you have no taste in music or the music is crap and it doesn't stop at music look at MTV i saw one show called 17 and pregnant or some kinda BS and im watching it and im like WTF last time i checked when you were a teenager and you were pregnant or got someone pregnant you were punched around shunned force to get a job and be a man or become a good mother not get a dang reality TV show to complain at how sad you are that you got knocked up and how grown you think you are that your a mom or how hard it is. now don't get me mistaken im not bashing teenage mother's because i know a ton of teenage mother who are great and i myself know what its like to be raised by a single mother but its like a fashion trend nowadays for dumb girls to get knocked up by males to bitch out of being a man and leaving the relation ship when things get tough but MTV is just the start of it look at the Maury show its a TV series feeding off the typical American stereotype and it infuriates me that people watch such garbage and in turn imitate it and lets not forget how superstars and actor's can literally do whatever they want as long as they go to rehab for 2 weeks or a rich person buying a million dollar car and other wise spending money on useless things when it could be used to help people instead of themselves. it just seems wrong that people my age seriously idolize people who go to jail and sing with auto tune about the typical money cars clothes and women its like Americans are afraid to jump out of the usual formula scared to take risks...its sad if its not the media making a fool of itself its kids trying to act cool while their as dense as a block of wood with no street smarts and think their grown with no manners but of course you have the "i hate America i wish i lived in a different country" kind of guys the kind that cry and complain about every little thing wrong with America and don't even realize how fortunate they are to live in a country that has running water, electricity, and something above their heads(ewww i sound like me mom) but yea the kind of guys who hate every little things and if its not those who hate its those who are sad seriously whats up with emo's popping up at every corner? emo's are like the definition of annoying crappy teens who only care about themselves or am i emo bashing too much? well anyway im gonna stop it here but to sum up an essay with spelling errors and horrible punctuation it just seems that Americans are extremely self centered and over all ignorant to anything that doesn't have to do with themselves :( so what are others opinions?
more ignorant but still self centered
Both, but more ignorant.
a bit of both i agree
usa is not a country.its a collection of 50 countries with no common things black whites asians and all races are in usa.so its inpossible for usa to have a culture and since usa cannot ever have a culture usa is ignorant and selfcentered at the same time.usa hasnt even created a language.and that proves that my comments are so right.period
japan is self centered.
I go with ignorant.
